Cruise the Susquehanna River and relive a bit of local heritage on this patriotically-painted paddlewheeler. A reproduction of the original "Hiawatha," which was crushed by ice in 1914, this current incarnation features an open upper deck and an enclosed lower deck. The vessel once delivered residents to a downriver park. These days, as it offers lovely views, it delights guests with a number of theme cruises, including ones that feature karaoke events, sunset concerts, Sunday brunch, dinner, and family-friendly activities. Picnic facilities are available

Pine Creek Rail Trail
Runs from Ansonia in Tioga County, to Jersey Shore in Lycoming County, Jersey Shore, PA.
Ameliorating an unused stretch of railroad corridor, this trail winds 64 miles through central Pennsylvania territory. Paved in crushed stone, the pathway is available to any non-motorized vehicles and is especially popular with bikers and hikers. Trailheads can be found along its run, and lodging opportunities are available at either end. The best aspect of the trail is its incredible natural beauty and its abundance of visible wildlife, including deer and eagles. |
